Summer 2024, just unbelievable, following a truly endless winter and damp spring has been truly awful. That has never been a less contentious statement in the history of statements.
Okay, there is still a chance for us to get in fantastic August and even into September and as I type this it is currently in the high 20s centigrade but time and opportunities are slipping away. Seen some great footage from people I follow on Instagram over on the slopes of Morzine, les Gets etc and watched with my skin changing to a shade of green.
So, on this ride, out with Marc on Sunday 14th July, the weather yet again showed how awful it has been this year. Perhaps later in the day the football could provide us some joy and “sunshine” as England were about to take part in their first final in a major competition on foreign soil. Hmmm I won’t dwell on that disappointment. Let us bring it back to the riding!
This is where things never disappoint, joyful trails offering challenge and thrills. Laughs and chats with mates. This is what matters. So the weather is bad, so yet again the years of hurt continue on the pitch but there is always fun to be found, just get out and ride!

Ace video mate, great outro ðĪĢi did love that run down the campsite descent (Jesus Christ)ðĪĢð , was definitely a bit greasier than normal, terrible weather but it spoiled nothing ðð
