I was in the market for a folding bicycle for a longgg while to make my commuting easier and Bromptons really caught my eye.

I'm super happy today to have received mine and thought I'd join in on the fun here in the community!!

If you have any words of wisdom for a new Brompton owner I'd love to hear it!

enjoy your bike OP, may you have wonderful miles ahead with your brommies. also, kinda unusual for a C-line in bolt blue lacquer

congrats 🎉 ! ride it enjoy it.

if my guess is correct, the front chainring is 50T, if you live in a not that flat with hills or bridges terrains, or if you just wanna ride effortlessly, a 44T chainring is mostly recommended at here.

  3. Congrats, looks great – the unique color is a positive and conversation piece.

I was surprised how wobbly and unstable the bike was while folded when I first got it. For me personally the most meaningful upgrade for my C line was sorting that out. I did it with two purchases:

    1) removing the two existing wheels you have near the seat clamp and installing a telescoping tube that widens the wheelbase for more stability: https://liteprobicycle.com/products/litepro-folding-bicycle-easy-wheel-extension-rod-telescopic-bar-bike-modified-aluminum-alloy-for-brompton-rear-cargo-rack-parts)

    2) a cheap aliexpress cargo rack with wheels on the rear. You can buy the genuine one, but the one I got was under $30.

With those on, I’m able to move the folded bike around very smoothly and not worry about it tipping over. I’ll add easy-wheels next.

  4. Nice color! Just be careful with the folding pedal when folding and unfolding the bike. If you leave the pedal folded, it can scratch the rear triangle.
