Holy refresh
LETS GOOO best day of the yearππππππβ€β€β€β€
Stage 15 feels like Plateau de Beille part 2
Pog on Cofidis would cook. Ion Izagirre leadout would be better than NarvΓ‘ez 2025.
I was waiting for the Benji wave! Oh yeah, and the preview.
37:10 decathlon not taking bisiaux is outrageous
Jonas has 2 chances: Tadej gets sick or Tadej crashes. Obviously nobody wants to see Tadej get injured, it's important to be clear on that.
Seixas can follow Del Toro
Biggest race on the planet!!! Excited for another year of coverage from LRCP!!! β€
We are SO back
So excited to watch my favorite Lego youtuber
Well hello again everyone…I'm baaa-aack!
Here's a reminder of how Patrick Vs Benji Grand Tour picks works.
If they get their pick in the top 3 then points will be awarded depending on when that prediction was made.
So picks made when the route was released will be awarded as..
1 st 20 points
2nd 17 points
3rd 14 points
Picks made in the preview the week before the GT starts will be awarded as
1st 15 points
2nd 12 points
3rd 10 points
Picks that are selected the day before a race, for example a pick made at the end of stage 1 recap for stage 2 the following day, will be awarded as
1st 10 points
2nd 8 points
3rd 5 points.
Points are cumulative. For example if Pogacar is the pick for stage 2 when the race is released, and again in the week before preview, and again in the prediction at the end of stage 1, and he does indeed then win, that will then score the full 45 points.
Excel will only be accepting one pick each time, and multiple entries will not be accepted (Patrick) I'll update the points in the notes here on the LRCP YouTube page as we go along.
Benji won the last Giro picks competition and therefore Dino Patrick will be coming to a screen near you shortly. Look out for his suprise appearance during the TdF pods. I expect the Louvre is clearing some free wall space already.
A suitable 'prize' has not yet been selected for this edition as I'll be putting it to a public vote. Look out for that shortly. I have emailed LRCP with a list of suggestions, so they could cut anything they felt was too inappropriate. However as of yet I've not received a response, so I may just put it to the public vote without giving the guys the option to cull any of my 'wonderful' ideas. Smurf or giant c*ckerel anyone?
For my own personal amusement I will also be introducing the Remco Rule. Under this rule an additional 10 points will be awarded to anyone, who correctly predicts a Remco excuse. As a reminder to competitors, previous excuses have included broken air conditioning, fire alarms, and gear ratios. The excuse can come from him directly or from a member of his team, and Remco's Rule is valid for the duration of the full tour. This will hopefully give the competitors a topic of conversation on quieter days.
Good luck competitors. Hyped π€©
Well it is 1:30 here. I guess I will not get any sleep this night
4 Times in Tour de France history has a rider won the Green & Yellow jerseys:
Eddy Merckx 1969, 1971 & 1972
Bernard Hinault 1979
Guess im not sleeping ,,,
That Andy Schleck long attack with Frank finishing 2nd, was a all-timer.
A nearly 2.5 hour LR preview? Inject that shit straight into my eyeball veins
I think UAE will be cleaning up break stages. No way they are happy with only Yellow, White, and 6 stages with Pog/Del Toro.
Will fall asleep before finishing the pod tonight
All I want from the TTT is Lipo and Remco crossing the line together holding hands like Hinault and LeMond on alpe d'huez
I will listen to this full episode twice while riding, before the tour starts
The weather forecast right now is 38Β° celsius for the first couple of hilly stages in Occitanie, France π₯΅
Top Beefβs in (Modern?) Cycling as an off season podcast/LR video?
UAE spent $60 million to win stage two
1:40:16 Equipment + Nutrition > EPO β¦. Finally! Lol
Double Kom points applied to mountaintop finishes iirc
Visma going all-out for Jonas this year – by that I mean not fussed about stage victories, just Yellow or bust. If Jonas comes 2nd again, then that may shape his decision making about what he wants to achieve before retirement – subject to Pog still being around.
What is Lidl-Trek cooking with the Ayuso/Gee-West/Skjelmose trio?
Its to easy to get into Remco's head, someone just has to sit on his wheel up a climb and he'll rage quit.
Any chance this year with 'reverse swing' becoming a factor? Looking forward to the lads daily analysis ππ π²
You shouldnβt expect much from remco .He will shit the bed as usual with his BS excuses .π€π€
Pogacar's only weakness is his excitability when he is attacking from distance with someone on his wheel. He has crashed numerous times in this scenario in classics/ monuments and TDF in the past. He rides more maturely these days but it is TDF, so I still think it is possible. Vingegaar may just suprise everyone with where he is at atm. However his team has suffered some huge setbacks, where as UAE team is basically unbeatable. I think this is the most exciting build up and line up for a TDF for 3-4 years and the peleton is probably the strongest of all time. I think we are in for a real treat.
Ineos for now has 6 riders on the list. No Bernal, no Tarling, Rodriguez on the list.
Stage 18: Ayuso
13:43 Does Jonas have shoelaces?
Wow, the podcast is almost as long as the Tour itself! Boucle up.
Stage 6. Del Toro attacks, gets a gap, then Pogi attacks joins Del Toro on the top and they relay to the finish.
I hope that the TDF KOM is not a debacle like Ciccone's victory in the Giro where he got more than half his points on one day.
6:47 that mug is fantastic. And I don't mean Patrick.
Pogi > Jonas
UAE >>>> Visma
Yeah, the hype is gone.
Wout dropped Pogi on Montmartre last TdF π
The 2026 Tour de France features an unprecedented 54,450 meters of total elevation gain across 3,333 km of racing. This makes it one of the most climbing-heavy editions in the modern era, gaining roughly 2,000 to 5,000 meters more than the preceding years.
1.25 for Pogacar to win? Actually good odds. Remember, he can only lose to Vingegaard, and even that is only on paper.
Just the arrogance of these two to think they forced the teams to release their teams π€£
