Hello everyone,
I have a somewhat technical issue and was hoping to get some advice.
Long story short: I screwed a bolt that was too long into the threaded insert underneath my handlebar. The bolt had threadlocker applied to it. Now, when I try to unscrew it, the threaded insert inside the carbon handlebar spins along with the bolt.
I’ve already tried holding the insert in place with a screwdriver while turning the bolt, but unfortunately that didn’t work.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or advice on how to deal with this?
Thanks!

Why did you add threadlocker there? But anyways, you are f*cked.
Heat is typically what is used to weaken thread locker but that’s obviously not an option. Your best bet is to put small drops of acetone on the threads and wait 5min for it to soak and hopefully weaken the thread locker. The situation is pretty cooked though 🤣
