Seen so many carbon bars break right there. Came across a guy in Moab who had done line a two foot drop and his bars exploded. His face was a bloody mess and he had 18 miles to finish.

Man. That looked exactly like what happened when I washed out and planted my head into a tree. That became new helmet day. It did its job. No other injuries.
I also wear pads now because I’m old and need additional protection. 🤣🤣

Knocked my front teeth out doing something similar last season, now I’m the guy who always rocks a full face even on mellow trails.
