Congrats on the move, Newton is a lovely place to live. We’re in Ashton just down the road. My favourite chippy in Newton (the Codfather) has sadly closed, but the Thai on the high street is nice if that’s your kind of thing.
Best of all – direct trains to Wales one way and all the way up to Newcastle the other.
I cycle through Newton centre and the road leading down to the mini roundabout and from the roundabout to the railway station is appalling shame on the council.

You cycled past my junior school and the back of the house I was born in 66 years ago when you went down the Back Mesnes. I left in 1986 but in some ways never did.
My first girlfriend lived next door but one, to your left, and the most vicious dog on the estate resided next door but 2 or 3 to your right, shudder nobody messed with Prince.
Lived in common estate for 27 years your on the quiet side of Newtown but Wargrave is rough full of crime
My family is many generations newton, mum got kicked out of the pied bull fir underage drinking . I went to the bank school in the 70s but since 1982. We are proud Aussies living in the Sun 😁😁
