Bucolic Sierra valleys in shades of green you’ll never see on your computer. the summer is so ugly.
Quincy is so cute you’ll throw up a little in your mouth.
The trees are everywhere! Ruins a good bike ride.
Even if you choose to ignore my advice, make sure you stay away from Downieville. Horrible bike riding there.
Even worse, you are really out there on your own in that area. Not a single continuous stretch of sad gas stations, traffic lights, and storefront churches anywhere!
You have been warned.
This is what jealousy looks like, op..

Apparently, they’re trying to create a trail or a bunch of trails through these lost towns in the Plumas county and Sierra county. It would be awesome.
I did Lost and Found a couple of years ago, mostly to ride in the area and support the Connected Communities endeavor I read so much about. Been meaning to go back down there and do something like this. Beautiful area of the country.

Bike looks so good with a healthy coating of dirt on it!

A bit north of that but Butte County Gravel Grind is July 12th. Start/finish location is Butte Meadows California. Nearby camping is limited but it’s only 45 minutes from Chico where full amenities are available.

What’s that rear rack you have going on?
Sweet rig; few questions;
What tires, frame bag and dynamo hub are you running? I’m trying to achieve a similar setup on my Surly
Huh didn’t even know about this route and it’s in my backyard! Tons of bikepacking opportunities just east of this route, east of lake Davis.
