🇫🇷 I spent the day exploring one of the biggest flea markets in France — and it completely took over the beautiful city of Amiens!

(I always link my outfits as well as similar vintage finds online in the links down below!)

If you love thrifting, vintage finds, and chaotic treasure hunting… this place is unreal.

🛍️ What is the Amiens flea market?The Amiens Braderie (also called the Grande Réderie) is one of the largest flea markets in France, with over 2,000 sellers and 80,000 visitors. It spreads across 50+ streets and around 15km of the city, packed with antiques, vintage clothes, furniture, books, and hidden gems.

It happens twice a year (spring & autumn), transforming the entire city into a massive open-air thrift market.

🏙️ About AmiensAmiens is a charming city in northern France, known for its canals, colorful houses in the Saint-Leu district, and relaxed atmosphere. It’s the perfect place for a day trip from Paris — especially when the flea market is on.

⛪ Amiens CathedralRight in the heart of the city, you’ll find the stunning Amiens Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre-Dame d’Amiens) — the largest Gothic cathedral in France and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Even if you’re just here for the flea market, it’s 100% worth stopping by. The scale and details are insane.

📅 When does it happen?
* Spring edition: usually late April
* Autumn edition: early October

🌐 Check the official website for future dates:👉 https://www.grande-rederie-amiens.com/en

🚆 How to get there from Paris
* Train from Paris → Amiens: ~1h15–1h30
* Direct trains from Gare du Nord
* Around 10–15 min walk from the station to the market

Driving takes about 1.5 hours, but the train is much easier since the city center is closed during the event.

⏰ Tips if you go
* Go EARLY !
* Bring cash + be ready to bargain
* Wear comfy shoes — you’ll walk a lot
* Expect big crowds

✨ It’s basically a giant treasure hunt mixed with a city trip — you never know what you’ll find!

  1. Thank you Ainsley, I loved your tour in Amiens market, I'd love to go to the October one. Your saw a lot of things. And…your husband answers, as long as we get rid of the others (glasses)…you did good 😉 😂 so excatly like my husband says everytime I find something interesting and beautiful and I buy for a bargain. He says : it's not a good deal if you don't resell it and get more for what you paid". Oh, Men! They just don't get it! Markets live and thrive thanks to women who love beautiful pre-loved beauties <3

  2. and Yes, I would love to see more markets. I would have bought that lovely little painting with the ornate golden frame that you picked up. And some of the bowls you also picked, the smaller with the dark pink decoration, and the mixing bowl with the base with green decoration.

  3. Thk you for filming and explaining all about that market. I’m super excited to plan our next trip in the spring for my birthday and can’t wait to shop that flea market!

  4. I love your videos. You have the grace of someone from a time gone by. So pleased that you bought the painting. It was meant to come to you
