I want to thank all the riders who are 40 years old and older for inspiring me to go out and find a used 20 inch Bmx bike. I used to ride in the late 1980s mostly flatland and street. For the past few years, I have been riding 26 and 29 inch cruisers. I was curious as to what a modern 20 inch BMX bike would feel like. I found this lightly ridden Sunday Scout on FB. I cleaned it up and inflated the tires when I got home yesterday and I messed around in the driveway just a little bit. I still can’t believe how small they are. But wow, they are so sturdy and maneuverable. I’m not expecting myself to do any big jumps or tricks like I used to. Just the nostalgia of riding around in the driveway and up and down the street on a 20 inch bike yesterday was pretty cool. 😎 I’m 54 and 5ft 11, 190 pounds. I believe the bike I purchased has a 21 inch tt, which would work with my height.

  1. Dayum. Looks like a rich kid’s 20-minute-infatuation bike. Good second life with a dude who will use it properly. Good shredding my guy!

  2. Sweet bike! Watch out, before you know it you will be back doing those jumps and tricks like you used to! Happened to me a couple years ago, basically same story, I’d been riding 29ers for a few a years and thought “hey, it might be fun to pick up a modern 20″ and see how things have progressed from when I rode”. 2 years later I’m riding 20″ at the skatepark a few nights a week and having a blast with it, just put together a flatland bike too. 55, 5′ 11″ and 205 here, you get used to the size again real quick.
