  1. That’s the waterfall and a gnarly feature. I’ve only seen a handful of people climb that in all my years of riding, this is so far from the norm here. This person is a maniac.

  2. nice to see south mountain/national trail/waterfall getting some recent love in here.

  3. This is crazy. I’m new to mountain biking, but have hiked there many times. Always wondered how bikes got through certain sections of national.

I think I speak for most of us when I say respect but FUCK THAT I’M WALKING.

  5. I would see this and think I went the wrong way, like that’s not part of the trail lol

LOVE THIS! Wow. Brutal climb. I stockpile vids like this to watch before tough rides / workouts so thank you!

Isn’t this like one of the most notorious climbs lmao??? What psi and tube or tubeless?

  8. I know that climb! I’ve been there! I got about 3 ft and walk the rest. Kudos for a boss hoss effort! 💪

Watching that waterfall climb made my quads burn just from my couch. The third person angle really shows how close the rear tire is to losing grip on every pedal stroke. People underestimate how technical Phoenix climbing can be because the descents get all the hype. You’re basically solving a puzzle while trying not to dab or stall out on a rock face. I ride south mountain a few times a year and this line still scares me more than a lot of the downhill chutes. The body english he’s using to weight the front while keeping traction shows years of practice.

I know where I’m at it’s been 107F during the day. Is this video from a milder season or a nice day, or are you on the precipice of death?

More techy climbing content! These people who hate climbs are only getting half the ride…
