After getting a new gravel bike for rougher terrain, I decided to spend even more money refreshing my old gravel bike for a slightly different purpose instead of selling it like a normal person.
I went from Roval Terra 40cm bars, Uno 120mm stem, Light Bicycle AR25 wheels, 40mm Terra Speed tires, Force XPLR AXS 10-44 drivetrain, and 40t chainring to Enve 120mm 38cm bar stem, LB WR45 wheels, 40mm Caracal Race tires, XX1 10-52 drivetrain, and 46t chainring.
These changes added exactly 1lb of weight, going from 16.35lbs to 17.35lbs (as pictured, but minus Garmin and water bottle). However, the aero bars are more comfortable to me, and the bigger chainring and aero wheels make it more specific to faster gravel and road use, while maintaining the fun, responsive and snappy feel that I love so much about this bike. Plus the gold is super bling.

how fast you go on flat?
Happen to know what those tires measure to on those wheels? Curious since I’ve got an older bike with limited clearance too
I personally find 10-52 cassette has too large of jump between gears on the upper end for any steady speed effort. They are fine for just cruising along but the large jump in cadence is quite annoying if your legs are looking for that sweet spot between resistance and cadence.
Maybe one day some one makes 10-52 cassette with 1 teeth gap on the upper end.
Which cassette is that?
