I love me bike she does a great job and is happy to be used it’s real old but completely functional! All og parts.
Besides tiers what would be y’all’s recommendations for upgrades for her?
I always recommend a rear view mirror to anyone commuting. I’ve had mine save me from some bad accidents because I saw an inattentive driver creeping up on my ass before they had a chance to end me.

A rack and a pannier are a must for commuting. Also a water bottle holder

1. my bike has a luggage rack on the back. I have a pannier bag. I can hook other stuff with a bungee cord. I can buy another pannier bag. basicly it enables me to haul a bunch of stuff. I have no idea if you can bolt that on or not.
2. my bike has a water bottle cage. i love drinking water.
3. i have a mobile holder on my bike. that is useful. what is that pink thing. is that a mobile holder?
4. if you commute before sunrise or after sunset you should get lights (front, rear, and spoke)
5. you should get a bell on your bike
6. this would be beyond the next step: but you can get bike cams.
7. if you commute in a rainy place you can get rain fenders
8. you can replace your wired shifters and brakes with wireless bluetooth shifters and brakes (but I suspect this is not a good idea)
9. You can put a tracker on it. it is up to you to decide if the cost/benefit is worth it
10. I spent like $0.50 and got a sticker that says something like “Bike Security Group” or some such bullshit. There is no Bike Security Group but if a thief sees it and skips it then it was worth it.

Sick! The matching handlebar tape is a really nice touch. I love my old 10-speed. Are those lights, or just reflectors? Definitely need lights. A rack is also a must, I like a front rack just because I can keep an eye on my purse a little better up front.
I recommend one of those little pouches that clips to the stem (you might have to fuss with it a little bit with the stem shifters, I made mine work with them but ymmv as your levers look bigger than mine). I really like having stuff easily accessible from the cockpit, so I can drive-thru the atm or quickly grab my keys when I’m bringing the bike into my apt. It’s convenient!
Personally I’m thinking of getting rid of the stem shifters in favour of downtube shifters, I find that when I try to stand and pedal I sonetimes knee the shifters, which usually leads to me losing my balance and rolling around in the grass. 😅 Something to think about! If it doesn’t bother you though its probably not worth the trouble.
