Apparently it was his exes bike hence the low price. Don't know much about mountain bikes yet but i do know it definitely fit in my budget:-) I heard running translates well into mtb and thought this is the year since I love running. The bike runs great, took it to the mountains of La Jolla as a test drive, the guy I got it from said it was trail ready. Any upgrades i should give it? any advice is welcome 🙏 (Had to replace the handle grips because old ones were very crusty and slip off and wife got me the duck to never get lost 👌)

Well, hopefully you get a lot of fun out of this.

Truthfully, I wouldn’t upgrade anything, instead start saving now for something overall a little bit better in the future. You’ll quickly find you want hydraulic brakes, probably want to ditch the front derailleur, and get a way better fork.

Doing all those components individually on this bike just isn’t worth it. Better to find a used bike that has them already and spend your money there

May it last you many miles and bring you joy.

Don’t go to hard on it, stay away from jumps and aggressive tracks as it is not the sturdiest.
