My saddle bag stabilizer broke, any recommandations ?

Go to the nearest hardware / marine store, buy JB Weld (or any metal reinforcement putty/epoxy). Apply, let dry before putting on weight. You can support it with tape if you need to ride – don’t load until cured. After it dries go back to normal use. I had a clamp on my handlebar bag break on tour, fixed it with JB, it just re-broke last week after about a year of abuse. That clamp held up to weight and very rough singletrack and gravel.

I’d just get a new one.

Made it 1000km, you can buy a new one for like 25 max if you get another cheap one.

It seems steel ones don’t exist.

Also maybe look at how this could have happened?

I always have a strap around the outermost metal tubing and the whole bag, so the metal is pulled in towards the bike, so there’s so real sway of the bag into the metal sides. Which could flex the metal, and create a snap?

If you’ve got it hitting left and right I could see this happening.

But I don’t know anything, do let me know. Wish I could help and tried my best to look online!!

Buy a saddlebag that doesn’t wobble. 

Aluminum tears, it does not bend.

Get a stiff plastic or steel one.
