Any fellow cyclists have longer trail or route recommendations around the DFW metroplex? I just moved to Texas and would love some local insight!
I've done day rides along the Trinity River Trail in downtown Fort Worth and while it's gorgeous, there's a real lack of shade and it isn't quite as remote/long as I'm looking for.

I have not done it while bikepacking, but I do see a potential for an overnight up through the Ray Roberts “Greenbelt Corridor” into the Ray Roberts Lake State Park for a sleepover in the State Park.

I have also seen people camping along the NETT (North East Texas Trail) – a rail trail that’s getting many recent upgrades – [https://ridewithgps.com/routes/52380495](https://ridewithgps.com/routes/52380495)
