Schwable tyres come seemingly in two varieties the excellent road and mountain biking tyres they make with care and perform incredibly well. Everything else well that’s pot luck.

Remotely relevant, I replaced schwalbe radial tyres with a different pattern radials, but still same company before Christmas, on checking the new tyres the inner casing was not fully bonded to the outer casing, i was offered if I wished to buy them at a reduced price, which I refused. Didn’t fancy a blow out on a downhill course. They then made a full refund, the tyre, they asked me to dispose off. I wrote directly to schwalbe UK, to see if they wanted the tyre, they weren’t interested, just advised me to return to my LBS for a refund.

  3. Yeah, had my schwalbe brompton tire do the same thing — bumpiness showed up after long descents when it got hot and the pressure went up.

Switch to Schwalbe Marathon Plusses and haven’t looked back.

  4. Your wording is weird–all these issues are on one specific bike? Or you have multiple bikes and issues arise across them? Are you sure the wheels are true and not rubbing anywhere?

If I had two bikes and one was developing frequent tire issues, and the other was not, I’d treat the bike as the most common variable, first.
