Backcountry riding in the North Georgia mountains.
I recently went from a short travel trail bike (Kona process 134) to a more xc focused bike (Revel Ranger). I don’t plan to race at the moment but I’m really enjoying the efficiency and nimbleness of the XC bike. It’s great for getting big mileage and climbing but still feels very capable on long descents.

Agreed. XC bikes are fun, even if you never race them. The responsiveness of inputs, both through the pedals and maneuvering, make it feel like a sports car compared to a trail bike.
I thought my enduro bike would be a quiver killer – xc, bike park… wow I was wrong. Bought a used XC and couldn’t be happier (well maybe a gravel bike too)! Feels like I’m on a light ebike with a 20nm motor!!
