  1. Nothing is too heavy for bikepacking.

It depends on how much kilometers you wanna ride per day.

I would not take a mountain bike for bikepacking tho.

  2. Hmmm.

Could be, depends on whether the route you want to do has any lengthy climbs or not.

  3. I have a 30lb steel frame bike that I’ll turning into my daily/bikepacking rig, it depends on you and what you like

  4. If you pack an additional 15kg of equipment, it doesn’t really matter if you have 25kg or 30kg. In my opinion it only matters for your daily commutes or ultra light / credit card travels. But this is just me

That is almost as heavy as my titanium cargo bike. Or, rather: It weighs less than my cargo bike. And I use my bike for bikepacking.

In other words: It is fine. I prefer strength over being a weight weenie

  6. How do you even consider buying this? 5min and you could compare the weight of this abomination with other gravel bikes or mtbs to get an idea how heavy it is. And then you can decide whether it is too light or too heavy for you.
