Hi. I bought some Bont shoes, and tried to heat mould them as per Bont’s instructions. It did absolutely nothing, the sides did not soften at all despite multiple attempts, but I did notice the edges around the Boa laces look a bit yellow/brown… Have I melted some glue here?! I had the oven at the temperature specified in their instructions (70 celcius)

Bonts nowadays don’t really need the heat moulding, they’ve improved a lot from the early days.
That yellow stuff you see is the Kevlar embedded inside the upper meant to prevent the material from stretching. It’s structural.
