  1. Jesus this is making me paranoid. Got a Duke 390 parked on the street with just an Abus Detecto 8008 + chained to ground anchor + all weather cover over the top. Your set up makes mine feel futile!

  2. got an alarm disc brake lock, heavy duty chain at private property and a anti-grinder d-lock + cover. What am I missing?
What are your recommendations for portable chains for anchoring on the go? I have already gone over budget…

  3. Havent been to London for a while but from all accounts its become a lawless, overcrowded, God forsaken, dirty, cohesionless, shit hole. Mostly down to Khant, by the look of it.

  4. Is it rly as bad in the UK?
    I call it clickbait
Here in Germany NO ONE have to lock the Bike like this.
A Disk lock front and rear. Thats it! No one steals ur bike!

And a fool, that steals an ridiculous 125cc bike, has lost control of his life anyway!
Cheapest trick. Disk lock, as i said……..plus a 2€ sticker on exposed place from the Internet. "This bike is GPS protected". End of story.

  5. That's an insane amount of protection to have to put on a motorbike. Fix your society.

Seriously, I ride a pushbike to work, to the shops and what have you, but all I have to do to secure it is use the flimsy, fitted as standard rear wheel lock.
Where I work (Wommelgem North business park), the people who commute to work on a motorbike, mostly, just leave it on the side stand. There's one guy that uses a disk lock.

Look I know London is huge compared to Greater Antwerp, but, even so, that doesn't mean you allow sub-cultures to exist where stealing motobikes is a viable or desireable form of income. This is just offloading a societal problem on individual motorcycle owners in order to not have to tax your rich friends more.

  6. You would be much safer if you just followed the other traffic instead of constantly overtaking others. You actually create many of the dangerous situations that would not otherwise arise.

  7. Imagine having to do this in the 90s. No neither can I.
In the mid 90s i used a £2 halfords lock on my specialized Allez working at london bridge "just in Case"

  8. London is crime central. I’ve had two new bikes stolen near Bond st tube. I don’t buy new anymore.

Don’t bother with disc locks they just cut the discs. I used a top quality D lock on the front around the wheel and tyre. And a chain on the bike. I store them in a small seat bag.

I found trackers to be a waste of money. I use Apple tags now. 3 on my bike.

  9. WTF 🥴 and you say that you are a highly developed country 🤭right? 😂😂😂right
You need someone to come to you and bring the locks 🙈 it’s like adding another person on the bike 🤭 there’s no more pleasure in riding a bike in uk 🤌 rain, wind, low temperatures, bad roads, stupid drivers, theft and so on…..

  10. not realistic, so much weight and volume and costs for each stop is too much of a hassle.

I propose guarded parkings, garages etc. and first of all, park the bike in sight where possible and/or in places where van's can't access. there are many better ways than such efforts and carrying all that stuff around at all times. not worth a video BTW because this everyone can do and could know without it. stating the unrealistic obvious under the pretense to present "hopefully" something new is not good conduct.
