Looking for some opinions on a Trek Dual Sport 2 gen 3.

I'm after a flat-bar gravel/hybrid bike for mostly city commuting, but I'd also like to do some light trails around Scotland (Pentlands, Glencoe tracks, etc.). I know very little about bikes, but a few people have suggested the Dual Sport fits that brief.

I've found a used Dual Sport 2 for £325. Specs listed as 24-speed Shimano gears, hydraulic disc brakes, front suspension, and comes with extras including a GPS computer, rack, mudguards, lights, lock, and other extras. Seller says it's in great condition.

Does this sound like a good buy at £325? Is the Dual Sport actually a good choice for mixed commuting and light off-road use, or should I be looking at something more gravel-focused instead?

Any red flags or things I should check before buying?

Not a huge fan of (Cheap) suspension forks on hybrid/city bikes but otherwise a great bike for what you want to do with it. Its expensive tho i feel like. Its already an older model/genernation. I guess it does have some accesories maybe thats some extra cost.

What brakes are on it? Which brand?

This is just about perfect for your use case and the price is fair. If it’s your size then you are solid. It looks clean too.
