In this video I talk about Kyle Street, North Hanover street, George square, Duke street, South portland street and Dumbreck road. This was mainly shot on Saturday 13th June when it was a bit showery and windy. Not good weather for flying the drone so I went out on sunday to capture all the drone footage. Think of this as a video of what it’s like to hang about with me as I don’t really shut up about cycling infrastructure. It’s almost as if ive been cycling all my life and I enjoy it that much that I want everyone to experience it. The only barrier to that dream becoming a reality is DECENT segregated cycling infrastructure. Once this is in place in Glasgow we will see how great this city can truly be.

  1. Thanks very much for making these videos. I've been cycling so much more in Glasgow recently than I ever have in the past (just using the Voi bikes at the moment) and it's an absolute joy using the segregated lanes, really exciting to see all of the progress and everything gradually connecting up.

  2. Another great update – I am looking on in envy from here in Manchester, where progress has really stalled after a few years of the odd bit of instrastructure being built which is nowhere near this standard. Take a look at Deansgate's daft cycle lane if you want a laugh! Glasgow seem to be determined to really transform the city's streets, whereas down here very little is being done beyond the odd bollard and partial street closure…

Me and my partner have always loved Glasgow and have talked about potentially moving there one day – these changes make it even more enticing!

  3. I know there have been a lot of complaints (mainly white-van men and taxi-drivers) but looking at Cowcaddens Rd and the other parts that are done, the systems look brilliant.

  4. Another one for the documentary bank dude! Looks like it’s coming along slowly but still coming along. Drone shots as always are🤌 The infrastructure is just getting tighter up there, hopefully will be back up soon 🐵 Keep it going!

  5. Great work as always!
I can't wait to expand my mental map of Glasgow. I stick to segregated routes majority of the time and there are huge parts of Glasgow I just wouldn't cycle to because I'm not aware of a safe routes to get there.

  6. Thanks for another update video – they're really helpful! The council should be doing something similar as it's good news.

A wee Q – do you know why they've used different materials in different areas? The yellow surface at Cowcaddens looks a lot different to Pollock Park for example
