After serving for 14 years as Prime Minister, Dutch leader Mark Rutte stepped down and formally handed over the government in a simple, official ceremony. Known for his modest lifestyle throughout his time in office, he didn’t leave with grand security displays or luxury convoys. Instead, in a moment that quickly went viral, he quietly walked out and rode away on his bicycle, just like any ordinary citizen. The scene perfectly reflected his down to earth personality and the culture of simplicity often associated with the Netherlands. It became a powerful reminder that leadership doesn’t always have to be surrounded by extravagance, and sometimes the simplest exits leave the strongest impression.

  1. Mark Rutte also came to work on his bike, his work just happened to be PM for 14 years. But in his current job that doesn't quite work… But I'm pretty sure that when he can, he will. Cause why not?

  6. Heeft het land in 14 jaar naar de afgrond gebracht om voor een mooi baantje bij de NAVO te zorgen. Daar gaat hij vrolijk verder om de wereld naar de klote te brengen.

  7. But in India the unelected prime minister Modi has been rigging elections for the past 17 years and the only reason Modi wants to stay in power is to persecute Indian minorities
