If I rode my gravel bike on this it would either be because it’s a beautiful link up in a commute or I’m loaning a friend my mountain bike to get them riding and riding along on a capable bike.

Did you clean the step up in slide 5?
I was modifying the hell out of my gravel bike because I was riding stuff like this faster and faster. Even with a dropper, suspension stem, and low pressure 2.2” tires, I was getting nerve damage – hands were numb for days after a good ride.
I bought a mountain bike and haven’t looked back.

Done things like this on a gravel bike with 40mm and a gravel bike with 2.2″ tires. Love that it can be done. Love that I’ve done it. But it was always a struggle, with more than a few low speed falls and walking sections. I feel it afterwards.
Don’t know if I’m wise or weak… but I no longer push myself to do this on a gravel bike. N+1 excuses.

Pack it up boys, we have been out jerked once again.
r/HardTailGang is going to have a heart attack if anyone with a front suspension fork is riding on this asking if it’s gravel.

Anything is a gravel trail if you’re brave enough.

This is why I own my Fenrir. I love linking sections of this stuff together.

I’ve done lots of that type of stuff on my CX bike, but if I hit that boulder garden, I would be doing CX things instead of MTB things to get over it.

I mean at some point, riding a gravel bike on a MTB trail just becomes cyclocross practice

This is gravel riding here on Vancouver Island. Some call it underbiking, we call it fun!

Ive done trails like this back in the black forest on my gravel rig, but the line to type 2 fun and then to fear gets blurry fast lol
This is min. cat 3, so not suitable for probably most gravel bikes. (Norm EN 17406 „Classification for bicycles usage) If you luckly you will only slowly trash your bike.
