Old to me at least. The first serious bike I bought. I have gotten others since, including a new super x, but I still enjoy this thing. Yeah it’s a ten speed 2x tiagra, Technically a cx bike, and also heavy with awful brakes and narrow clearance. But I love it. The elite slr wheels seem right on this bike. I upgrade things here and there but it’s been a very reliable bike for the last decade. It’s been stuck on a trainer for thousands of miles and still can crush some light gravel. Just thought I would share a couple pics from today’s ride.

  1. No-one *needs* Dura-Ace or hydraulic brakes or $2000 wheelsets. They’re nice and all, but some of my favorite bikes have always been the “mundane” ones. My wife’s Synapse Alloy has Tiagra 10sp, and while I did put a nice pair of i9 hub wheels on it that I built, it’s still a super nice bike, exactly what she needs and no more, fast and comfortable enough for her to feel like a real cyclist.

    Although yours isn’t a mundane color 🤌🏻

  2. Also I have a set of post mount TRP Spyre SLs if you want a brake upgrade for these
