  1. Waoh-hoah ! Back on M3 J9 !
It's a bit jerky though – if you're goign to edit it and splice it, may I suggest using a fade through rather than a hard scene change ?
Looking forward to some aerial shots, I know they closed J9 over the last weekend too (13-14 June 2026). Haven't been past yet to see what it was closed for.

  2. Anyone who used this atea or lived nearby knew that the original junction layout would be a fiasco and cause lengthy queues. There should have been continuous free-flowing sliproads from the start. Complete DoT incompetence over many years, same as M25-A3 junction

  3. Its going to cause major traffic disruption until around 2030. The official finish date is 2028, I was told by a Highways Agency employee, its very doubtful it will be finished before late 2029 at the earliest. Apparently its running behind already. I use it regularly, on Saturday the 13th June, there were no people working on the site, it should be 24/7. They have put signs up, stating if you cannot see us working, its because were working out of sight! yeah right.

When they built the first section of the M1 they started building in March 1958 and opened it in November 1958, 72 miles in well under 2 years, over 4000 workers were on site at any time, sometimes up to 6000. The recent M27 resurfacing of the old concrete road, (just to keep property developers happy?) ended up £35.000.000 over its initial £48 million budget, they will not give a figure showing how much extra time the project took, as its not really completed now. It appears 35000 drivers were prosecuted for speeding offences during the roads construction, that could be as much as £3.5 million to the treasury. As the speed restrictions are still in place, they are likely still earning from it.
