What a day at Etape Caledonia ๐ดโโ๏ธ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
85 miles of completely closed roads through some of the most beautiful scenery Scotland has to offer, surrounded by thousands of likeminded cyclists all chasing the same adventure.
The day started with freezing temperatures and numb fingers, but as the miles rolled by the roads, climbs, atmosphere and incredible support made this an experience Iโll never forget. From fast flowing descents to long scenic climbs, every mile reminded me just how lucky we are to ride bikes in places like this.
Floss absolutely flew around the course once again, feeling fast, reliable and smooth all day long.
There were laughs, good people, stunning views and even a moment where I somehow launched my Insta360 mic onto the roads while grabbing a snack bar.
Finishing back in Pitlochry with the town buzzing and then relaxing afterwards at the wonderful Atholl Villa made the whole weekend feel extra special.
A huge thank you to everyone who shouted, waved, chatted or shared the roads with me throughout the day. Events like this are about so much more than times and distances, theyโre about community, adventure and memories.
If you enjoyed the video, Iโd massively appreciate a like, comment and subscribe as we continue chasing more cycling adventures across Scotland and beyond.

Great footage. It was unbelievably cold for first few hours. The scenery and descents were amazing well worth riding. Great event.
Nobody warns you that the last 10 miles or so, just when you think you are done, are brutal. Lots of short, sharp climbs
Excellent video mate, still buzzingโค๐
Just done it for 2nd time & enjoyed it very much ๐
Great video Stu and lightening quick at editing and getting it out๐. It was a great day but so cold at the start, when the sun warmed it up a bit it was superb. Not sure it would have the same atmosphere with 85 miles or rain though ๐คฃ. Do let me know if you find the Sheep's new video, important to help the channel grow. ๐
was my 2nd time this year, very cold start but great to have the sun, thanks for recording it for us all
The biggest gathering of gringos in Scotland
I did Carten last Saturday- 107 miles from Cardiff to Tenby. 2500 people on a grand social ride. Itโs a good thing that we do.
Brought back memories. Canโt see me doing it again – but you never know.
Great sportive. Did it a few years ago in torrential rain! Have never wanted to do it again but your weather looked amazing! Well done
Great video..I did it twice before COVID,this video makes me want to do it again ๐๐ด
Awesome video Stu… It was great to meet you there and to have you stay with us ๐๐ป
Absolutely nailed it dude! Excellent presentation and footage. That guy in the orange jacket looked familiar too ๐ 100% that sheep is monetising a podcast as we speak. Hereโs to the next Instavenger outing! Thanks once again Sensei for showing This Chimp itโs just one pedal stroke at a time! ๐ต
Made the same trackmitts boo-boo! ๐ I did the 55 & it was lovely. Your vid brought it all back. ๐
Great video twinnie ๐๐ผ it was great to relive it again ๐ด๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
Great video. Have done event 5 times including the infamous โroad tackโ year
Great day, cold start but the first hill sorted that out, glorious roads and scenery, 4th time round and still enjoying it! Thanks for posting โค
Great footage it was a fantastic day as always (must say it was colder last year though lol) have you had any issues with the Insta mount? Iโve had the 1/4 thread on an x4 fail due to the weight whilst using an official Insta mount (replaced under warranty) and using a cage and the GoPro โfingerโ attachment under a Garmin mount I had the โfingerโ attachment snap, I just donโt trust the X4 on a cycle mount now unless youโve got a better setup you can suggest?
Looks really good. Well done and great video. Already registered interest and booked my hotel for next year.
Knew about Etape Loch Ness but not this one so cheers for the heads up and a great video
