I recently picked up this all-original 1985 trek 620. It has the stock huret duopar eco rear derailleur, and huret pilot for the front. Groupset is shimano N600 50/45/28 for front and Maillard sh-700 14-28 5spd freewheel.
I’m giving it a full tune and refresh on cables, bearings, and making the swap to a set of suntour friction barcons, so I was wondering if it was worth swapping out the derailleurs while I’m at it.
Options I was looking at:
-Upgrading to the duopar titanium
-swapping to a matched set of deore LX deerhead m700 front + long cage rear
Swapping to a suntour v gt luxe rear and suntour xc pro front
Worth making any changes or just let it rip as is?

Deerhead is always cool. Suntour Cyclone is cheap and great, as is Shimano Crane GS.
If you’re not changing the gearing I would leave these derailleurs on there
