  1. Dont you like the ado air 20 pro ? .. im heading out to buy one next week or the mirider one was going to be my second choice … the evovolt afternoon pro is a bit pricey and wasnt thinking i could stretch my finances that far .. your opinion would be appreciated . Thanks

  2. Recently purchased an Eovolt afternoon pro. Early days but feels like a quality product. The belt drive keeps the back of my car clean from oil. Not cheap but if you can run to it worth it imo

  3. Very well put together video! between the Eovolt afternoon pro and the Ado 20 pro. Would love to see a comparison video between both, or with the Eovolt afternoon classic.

  4. Im riding the eovolt afternoon pro since october 2024. The bike is very nice. The only thing that they need to fix is the additional front basket. Only 4 bolts holds it to the frame. I had it fall down twice. Also big city bike lanes are not always flat. The vibration from bumpy roads was the reason why the basket always got loose. The bike itself is amazing tho. Tics all my boxes. Small, foldable, electric, aesthetically appealing (for my taste) yea perfect for the city and its small apartments.

  5. Thanks boet! This is such a lekker roundup of some good looking bikes. Im looking at a folding e-bike for 4-40km journeys, mostly in the netherlands, but perhaps also if we go camping in neighboring countries where we will encounter hills.

NL is relatively flat but by far not free of bumps, roots growing under cycle paths and uneven cobble stones and pavers.
Given my chronic back situation, which would you rate in terms of comfort (and perhaps compared to other brands with suspension like Birdy)?

  6. I bought one of the PVY bikes people seem to rave about. BIg mistake — quality was suspect, range nowhere near advertised and customer service horrible. The magnets don't even line up when folded so it comes apart when rolling. I gave up dealing with Chinese customer service and bought the Eovolt Afternoon Pro. It is incredible. I is not cheap (3000€), but every feature is well thought out, folds and unfolds in seconds and has good range. And I bought it at a local dealer here in France so I get incredible service. Worth every penny. My daily ride since December !!

  7. I would like to purchase an E scooter/moped style bike which is foldable; and able to charge its removable battery with solar panels. With a range up to 50 Miles at up to 35 mph(I wrigh 250ibs so I assume to top out the bikes top speed st about 25mph with the added weight of myself over a test rider that weighs. 150 lbs I would guess when these bikes specs are determined) on throttl/battety only . full lighting ( head light brake light turn signal) hydraulic disc brakes and full suspension fat tires 20×4" at a cost of under $2k dollars….
Am I asking for too much or is there anything I might consider that you may recommend

  8. Would have been nice to include the price of each ebike as cost is very important to consumers.
Don’t get why price was ignored, unless I’ve missed something?

  9. Gr8 video review! I have the Eovolt Classic and need the shimano gears for the steep country hills – the downside is that when riding with winter gloves, you have to stop, take your glove off to change the power setting as the buttons are so small – glad to see that was realised and the pro has a rocker switch mechanism to change power levels πŸ™‚

  10. I’m kind of heavy at 235 pounds. Is that hinge in the middle of the frame really strong enough to handle my weight? Is it a feature that is just in general likely to break? I have a magicycle deer, and I just can’t imagine having a frame that’s been split in half, but I would enjoy a more portable bike.

  11. This is one of the best folding e-bike comparison videos I’ve seen. Sounds like if I’m wanting a folder that could tackle the Pennine hills around me it’s either the MiRider or the Afternoon Pro … Thank you!

  12. Beware: The ADO Carbon is a scam! I bought it and everything started to malfunction after a couple of rides. It hasnt been well tested. I fought heaven and earth to get a refund. I did get it to be fair. The weight is nowhere near 12kg. Its actually 15.4kg. And it just feels like an untested toy.

  13. I was really surprised that the only ADO that made your list was the carbon fibre one, considering the absolute rave reviews the ADO Air 20, 20 pro, and Air 20 Ultra, all get. The ADO Air Ultra 20 really does seem to have just about everything you'd want unless weight is your absolute primary concern, in which case, as you noted, the AIR Carbon has that covered.
The ADO Air 20 Ultra has the latest TRIPLE shifting (geared) motor rather than the older 2 geared one you featured, has the carbon belt, torque sensor for that more natural feeling of the motor not reacting in delayed mode to cadence, front suspension (lockable), etc. Yet not even mentioned?

  14. Do you sell Engwe bikes as we like the look of them and are very sturdy we are looking at a folding frame some of the bikes you showed in store look a bit light built as we have to ride on all types of towpath with us living on are narrowboat the Engwe gas very good heavy duty tyres 20 inch 4 inch wide .

  15. Impressive roundup, mate. Everyone’s saying good things about the Eovolt (now UTO – though I preferred Eovolt as a name!). I’m just deciding whether to go for the Pro16 or Pro20. The latter has better range, but as a commuter I love the folding size of the Pro16. How to decide!? Argh!

  16. I was actually disappointed by the build quality of the Afternoon Pro. The reflector at the back snapped off as soon as the guy in the bike shop lifted it up, the stem snapped on the 2nd time I folded the handlebars and the mudguard's attach to the bike with flimsy plastic and snapped off on my first ride without being touched. For Β£3000 I wasn't happy. Returned it but cost me Β£100 in the process.

  17. stop press:Aussie police have confiscated and crushed illegal eBikes!!! So…all dealers MUST ensure , first & foremost, that the eBikes they're selling comply with street legal requirements!!
