I have a Canyon Grail CF SL 7 2023 with the double decker handlebar. I am interested in getting a garmin mount for the cockpit and I looked over Canyon website since my handlebar is quite niche and is hard to find aftermarket compatible accessories.

The thing is according to their website that mount does not list the 2023 Grail version under compatible bikes BUT in its description it mentions that is compatible with all cockpits with two holes. And mine does have two holes.

So I emailed their support to ask and I got a short response that this mount is not compatible and they are sorry. When I sent a follow up asking technical details as to why it won’t fit since my cockpit has two holes they just sent me the screenshot from their site stating that the mount is compatible with 2024+ Grail editions.

Despite the fact that I consider their treatment unacceptable, I want to genuinely ask why the mount wouldn’t fit my cockpit version and whether there is any other Grail 2023 owner here and how they’ve solved this garmin mount thing.

Here is the bike.
Here is the mount.

Thanks!

  1. I was just looking into this today as well. I ended up ordering a generic mount that looks like it also uses two holes which will probably be fine but can be modified if needed.

I would assume the canyon one would work, but I didn’t want to risk the ridiculous shipping fee.

I also got the grail:on fenders recently which I was able to make fit well on our model, just took a bit of dremeling.

  2. Just click on “Check compatibility”? It is not compatible according to their website.
