We rode down to London for a proper day out on the motorbikes!

We took an enjoyable scenic route, thanks to Calimoto BEST Motorcycle GPS App (Use ‘MRDARCY10’ for 10% OFF or ‘OLMAN30′ for 30 day Free Trial) https://app.calimoto.com/Wwfw/darcyandtheolman

The Ol’ Man rode the Indian Challenger Dark Horse, Darcy was on the Indian Chief Vintage, and Bups (who runs the famous Bike Night at The Carington Arms) rode his custom Triumph Scrambler 900 to The Bike Shed Cafe for lunch.

We came off the motorway and rode through the up-market area of Hadley Wood, and then into London. We make our way to The Bike Shed – one of the most famous biker destinations in the UK, to see if it really lives up to the hype.

In this video we take lunch, and talk openly about how our bikes were for the ride. Then we have a good look around The Bike Shed Motorcycle Club, from the ride-through courtyard and custom bikes on display, to the shop, helmets, leather jackets, riding gear, barbers, restaurant, food, atmosphere and everything that makes this place such a unique hangout for bikers.

Is The Bike Shed the best biker hangout in Britain? Have you been to The Bike Shed in Los Angeles USA? Let us know what you think in the comments.

  1. I live in Australia so lots of dirt roads I have a RE scrambler but just brought a KLA 650 2010 just for the extra power on the road. Reason is so I can in the long run buy a more road bike a keep the KLA fir dirty I am just hoping it’s not to heavy. But in the end get me out on the road and dirt

  2. Thx for the tips on the Calimoto app. I remember driving through London in the eighties, it was already a nightmare. Can’t imagine doing that today.

  3. When I was working in London 3 years ago the 20 m.p.h speed limit was a bit optimistic, it would take at least 1 hour to do the first 10 miles to get out of town. As for the bike shed, it's not a place I would visit, seems like one of these fake places trying too hard to be a cultural icon.

  4. Good place for tourists, been there when traveling to london. Other biker places are a bit to far. But the food idk a bit mid..

  5. the noise picked up by your mics just made my head hurt , big towns and citys are not for me , nor bike meet up spots , i just prefer riding alone searching out quiet places ,,, still loving you content tho thank you,,

  6. We road from Northampton to the bikeshed. 1 hour to get to London and 1 hour to get through London 😖. Cool place but hassle if you're not near London.

  7. The London’s traffic regulations reminds me of horrible stories one hears about riding in capital cities around the world. My first day riding in our capital city
, Kuala Lumpur after the bike arrived from my home town was an experience when I strayed into cars only dual carriage way. I knew there are special motorcycle lanes but I must have missed it. Immediately I was pulled over by the patrol car. Luckily they were a couple of decent people and accepted my explanation about a small town boy first time riding in the city. Forty years later and with bigger bikes, I still don’t fancy riding in town centres. Our good neighbours in Bangkok can perhaps share their experiences. Singapore is another story as it is known for being strict in every aspect of the law and regulation. Anyway thank you gentlemen for showing us about on your trip with those lovely machines.

  8. Well said about the stupid speed limits in London, it’s madness, and it’s not about safety it’s about robbing motorcyclists and motorists, everything always boils down to how much we can Rob

  9. Go to london 5-6 times a year love it,, never been to this place yet but definitely going to try it,, I am down their on the 22nd so will pop in, great video again 👍

  10. Love the shed , came down to visit my pals in London and been in a few times , be back down next month.

Glasgow or Edinburgh absolutely needs a shed type affair or similar to compliment the bikes cove in Edinburgh. You guys would enjoy a fry up in there !

  11. Great video as usual guys. Yes, Calimoto is an EXCELLENT App. I recently got a Cardo headset and they bought the old Rider app recently. I have to say, this pales into insignificance against Calimoto. I used it yesterday because I had a spare hour. My best feature currently is the round trip feature. Set a direction, a duration or distance and away you go. I went on a nice ride for exactly an hour. Perfect and great if like me, you're a long way from home. It helps you to get to know your surroundings in a great way.

    Keep up the good work!

  12. Initially, I thought I was on the wrong channel. Getting in touch with your funky side 😎, I could sense a bit of David Attenborough's influence. Nice watch.✌️
