Saw this guy in a white skinsuit bossing a segment up Mont Ventoux. I might be tempted/inspired to get one if it made me push for another 1/10000 sprint. Thought I will never be a climber. Anyone tried the brand darevie? I know Maap do similar but for nearly three times the price. Of course if I only get to wear it twice a summer it will last for decades. Would you dare?

Darevie is a Chinese brand making pretty solid stuff. It’s equivalent to mid-range western brands, but the finish is better in some ways. Here’s that exact product:

The main problem with them, and most of the Chinese brands, is that they cut the arms and legs way shorter than current fashion. You can see how short it comes up on him in that video, and in the AliExpress product photos it’s practically hotpants! In the product description the Asian size L (EU M) has an inseam of just 21.5cm, whereas a western brand would be 27-30cm.
They do have another product called the “Quantum Skinsuit” which has longer legs, but which is only available in black. The description says the inseam for L is 27.5cm, which is more like it! Tragically though, the rear pockets have their cringey slogan of “Keep cycling, keep moving” right across them…
