Given your forks have turned silver I’d say your seals are blown. Fork services are real expensive tho so I’d pretend it’s fine

Time to change the oil seals and oil. It’s a bit of a faff the first time but easy when you come to do it again

Suntour XCR series has chrome/silver stanchions the black is just dirty grease probably time for new seals. Since it is a suntour its very easy to service. 2 bolts on the lowers and it comes off and theres no oil to change just grease and new seals

Your stanchions look worn, you need a full service probably and next time use some suspension lube and clean it more regularly, the seals and o rings will thank you
