


Hi all! My teenage son has been designing and prototyping frames and components in his bedroom with a 3d printer and free software since 2025. He started this after a collarbone fracture kept him off trail for a while.
He does CAD and then builds the real thing… (And no, that’s NOT something he learned from me 🙂

I am folowing him and i am impresed with his work
Those very sharp angles on the welds especially are concerning
The bike design in the first pic physically looks like the frame would snap on the first bigger impact. Just saying.
This is awesome. This is natural learning based on passion, which only fosters deepening that passion. An engineer and/or designer in the making.
