Holy shit that needs some serious attention asap
Where is it stored? Don’t think I’ve seen as badly rusted a Brompton frame, never mind a 2018 model
Look what they did to my boy.
That looks dangerously corroded dont think there’s much you can do apart from stripping back all paintwork taking rust off and seeing how bad it is..

i dont know bromptons well enough to understand what part of the bike this is, but is there any chance you were using this indoors on rollers or a trainer? (not even sure thats possible) or sweat profusely in this area and it was covered with a towel?
2018 or 1918? Did you accidentality leave your Brompton behind after fighting in the battle of the Somme?
Strip paint , sand, repaint and make it in art.
Looks like the bottle holder helped ruin it
