Isn’t it all but confirmed that shimano is releasing 13 speed drivetrain around the TdF? Already a few months ago they release an e-tube update that features 13 speeds

Yay now I can replace my 12s Deore Cassette with this and upgrade to 13s, with Wheeltop Derailleur.
Photo is a sram cassette but 13 shimano is likely coming out next month.
am i insane or do we not need more intermediate steps between the gears we have? my 10-46t feels completely fine at 12 steps, and would probably feel similar if it were an 11 or 13 speed cassette. my decade-old ultegra on my other bike feels fine at 1×10, to be honest
And here I am with 7 speed on several bikes, 9 speed on one, a single speed, and 10 speed on two. I wold not know what to do with 13 speeds, I never use all 7 or 10 on the bikes that have that!

Still love it when an average rider is convinced the extra gear is beneficial to them! marginal gains only exist when you’re consistent.
