Hello everyone,
This is probably a bit of an unusual post, and it's the first time i've reached out to anyone about this idea. I am organising a cycle tour in July on, what I have named, the Conversation Bike (my triple tandem pictured here).
The main goal of this trip is to give visibility to important emotional conversations, and to show what it can look like to ask for support- which is partly why I'm posting here. The idea is that people join me along the way, whether that's just for a chat, to have a go on the bike or to cycle with me for a part of the route.
If anyone is interested, or would like to support the trip, I have made a basic website which i will post in the comments.
There's information on how to sign up or get involved. I'm sure lots of people reading this probably aren't from the UK, but it would be great to hear your thoughts anyway.
For reference, this is a one of a kind MKM triplet bike from 1981. The bike features 531 Reynolds Tubing, Suntour derailleurs and TA Specialites Cranksets.

This is an awesome idea! And as someone in therapy learning how to ask for help, I’m personally touched that you want to do this. I love the idea that people can hop on and off for small sections of the route.
I think a key thing for you is going to be planning how the conversations work. Do you want to try and talk while riding? How long are the rides? Yada yada. It’s a lot to plan, but I think your idea is very worth it.
A triple tandem is a conversation starter, so you’ve got the first box checked.

As a loyal member of the old tandem club (my Jack Taylor is under partial repairs so don’t judge her sorry state)… I’m interested in your route? I’m living out of the country and will be doing the full length of Denmark on mine in July, but maybe my dad – the original owner – could be tempted to. He’s read ‘take a seat’ so he could certainly be on board with the idea I suspect.
Great idea, it would be interesting to know how it went after the trip.
Are you a psychologist or do you plan to share your stories afterwards?
