This is a carbon copy of Eastlake Sammamish in Redmond, WA just south of the west entrance to Marymoor Park. I just take the turn lane if I’m going straight and the lights green. No fucking way im crossing lanes like that.

The intention is good. And can work if it was in a country who is custom to a lot of bikes.
Heres a good exampel where you can actually see cars waiting to cross the bike lane.

I do appreciate that it helps reduce the chance of a right hook, albeit at the cost of a potentially awkward traffic interaction before the crossover — helps that I use a mirror and Varia for that, and traffic is usually pretty light whenever I ride here.
Otherwise the sidepath on the other side of the road works pretty well as I rarely see pedestrians on it, even if it is technically a MUP. Probably helps that I’m almost always connecting to the Sammamish River Trail though.

Tbf this is standard practice in a lot of urban places in North America and Oceania.

No I don’t think I will. Luckily I go right anyway and usually get on the sidewalk at the entrance to the park a half a block before something like this.

This does not make me feel joy.
