Those thiccc ass e-moto lookin bikes don’t fit on most front bus racks- most city busses ban ebikes with this reason listed along with the more obvious massive battery risk. The drivers in my city dont play and wouldve booted this guy very quick lol

What’s wrong with this? The bike may not have fit on the rack, the bus isn’t full, the operator clearly allowed it. Many cities allow people to bring their bikes onto public transit, especially if any bike racks are full or incompatible with their bikes.

That’s an electric motorcycle, which makes it objectively more hilarious.
Also am I crazy or are there TWO bikes in this photo?!

I’m sorry. What’s your problem here? Did he or the bike or the motorbike negatively impact you or anyone on the bus in any ways?

that is certainly not a bike. i keep it silent when people casually talk about ebikes like they’re bikes but this is a motorcycle.

I’ve never had a Kenda tire that was any good. Seems like they’re usually cheap junk.

1st, the racks on the front of busses are only rated for 75lb. That bike would be over the weight limit.
2nd, even the rack could hold more, AND the driver knelt the bus, I question if the rider could lift it.
3rd, I’ve been VEEERRRRYY nervous when the rack starts “bouncing” as the bus hits seams in the asphalt or potholes.
Considering how empty this bus is, I think dude is doing just fine.

Wow they’re allowing exploding motorbikes on buses now

My only gripe on these bikes is when I’m riding the train (bike > train > bike ride). They don’t fit in the vertical racks for bikes so they put their giant e-bike on the floor in front of the racks, thus making them inaccessible to others. Basically they take up the space that 3 normal bikes could use.
That being said…it’s still 1 less car on the road, so I’ll deal with it.

Nothing wrong with this one. He probably ran out of battery or maybe have other issues with his rig.
People harp on this being an electric motorcycle rather than a bike, but I’d rather see more people commuting on these things or e-scooters. It means less cars on the road and more justification for cities to spend more money on bike lanes and pathways.

Multi- modal transportation. Nothing wrong with that. It encourages less driving.

the tires are too wide to fit on the rack . dont wanna wait while this guy struggles to lift the bike onto the front rack just to fail and waste all our time. id rather the operator just let the person on and take a flipup ADA slot but this works .
on a different note if a person can fold up the bike id have no issue either since itd probably take up little more room than a shopping dolly or a walker.
