I’d ride on it, maybe stick some rubber cement in the gap and put something inside the tube to reinforce (dollar bill?) but they pick up little cuts like this – not saying that’s the right answer, just my opinion

I’d patch it as you describe on the original post. The tire looks brand new and I’m way too cheap to toss it.

When I was poor I would dig around inside to make sure all the glass was gone and superglue up a hole like that…
but I got a lot more punctures after that then now when I can afford to replace tyres that get a hole all the way through.
I never tried some kind of extra barrier inside, though I can see sense in it… it maybe hard to get them to hold in position, or give extra chances of pinching the inner tube.

Yeah, that port is too small for the USB stick

I use a small piece of gorilla tape on the inside of the tube over the cut. Has worked really well and is my go to now.

I would just ride it as is.

Just flip the USB the other direction, that usually works

Perfectly fine. Patch it and ride.

Interesting that a USB connector is the go-to thing to put in photo so that everyone can determine size.

I wouldn’t ride it at that pressure. That big of a slit, if it weren’t self splitting, I’d totally ride it.
If that’s your normal pressure, that big of a split, with no weight on the bike, and not rotating, compressing etc… I’d put that on my trainer bike.
