You need to tighten the absolute piss out of the straps that go around the saddle rails.

What did you load in it? Usually when I do jackets or blankets it doesn’t wiggle like that, looks like something heavy is in there

  3. And that is why I dropped saddle bags ahah.
Hello quick rack / tailfin journey carrier / topeak zirack

You can get this product that helps support those type of bags, basically a shaped aluminium rod that sits on rails of saddle and add rigidity.

    [Something like this:](https://www.tradeinn.com/bikeinn/en/topeak-backloader-whisbone-pannier-rack/139867522/p?utm_source=google_products&utm_medium=merchant&id_producte=19743970&country=ie&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23620652343&gbraid=0AAAAADvzHL-tWrlslG1DeoExQwYPdfheP&gclid=CjwKCAjw857RBhAgEiwAI-1yKJrJwOAjK5pn_THfPxbERJiAIn5wSW96HveebAjetPFI8QsdgjzqRRoCAzMQAvD_BwE)

(I’m not recommending that site or product, just the first one that came up to give you an idea)

Its either packed poorly, not compacted enough, or the straps aren’t tightened enough, but looks kinda like both.

Use a voile strap wrapped around saddle rails – easy fix and the spare straps come in handy if you need em. I use 2

  7. I bought one of those attachments that stop the sway and you can attach two bottles too it. Worked great on my last trip

Tighten the straps, it is overloaded, and you need all the heavier items toward the bottom to keep the weight close to the center of the bike.

  9. No it should be tighter. I had the apidura seatpack and spent a significant amount of time and packing ways to get it as steady as possible. Eventually I got annoyed and installed a ortlieb quick rack which is so much better

  10. use a voile strap, loop through saddle.rails and the pack. will stabilize it…

  11. I bought a product called saddle bag stabilizer from Aliexpress which costs around 7 USD.

  12. If you can’t get it stable even with tightening the straps and repacking, get the Topeak Wishbone. Should at least limit the sway.

  13. To answer your question, no, it’s not normal.

Also, I hate these types of bags. They need to be packed perfectly and tightened down very tight on the saddle rails to ensure that they don’t move around. And then you still end up with an awkward amount of weight high above your rear well.

push out as much air from the bag as possible, and roll it as small as possible. once you’ve done that, then make sure all the straps are tight. A well secured saddle bag should have minimal to no wiggle.

It might be the way you packed it. Keep the heavy stuff towards the seat right underneath the saddle. The rest of it should be filled with high volume light stuff like down sleeping bag and puffy

  16. Not normal. It’s important to pack it correctly (heavy items closer to saddle and really dense and tight where it meets the seatpost so it doesn’t loosen up) and tighten it up really well.

  17. Putting an inner tube around the seatpost helps a lot. It will make it much less ‘slippery’.

  18. A bit of wiggle is normal but this is way too much. Check if you tighten the piss out of the straps and check if you loaded the „heavy“ stuff at the bottom not the top.

  19. Switched to a rear rack because for some reason, I could not stand a saddle bag

  20. You could throw on some water bottle cages that are designed to go around that bag clamps to the seat post to help prevent the wobble.
