Older Trek District 1 with a Gates Carbon belt drive.
The drivetrain sounded like this all the time, so i adjusted the tension with the app. It wasnt easy to use the app, i did it in a quiet concrete room and still i had a hard time getting the app to give me any other reading than ~30Hz or ~90Hz (should be ~55Hz for my drivetrain).
But generally the drive has been much quieter since adjusting – this was yesterday when it was wet out and it started making the noise again (though since adjusting it's generally quite when it's not wet or dusty).
Im worried the tension is too high and damaging the BB bearings, though i'd get an opinion from here on whether this sound is normal or not. Thank you

For best results with the app, hold the phone microphone close to the middle of the belt and strum on the middle of the belt. Repeat multiple times, rotate the cranks 45 degrees, repeat a couple of rotations. A “chain”ring (or sprocket) deviating from concentric can create very different tension at different positions. I notice the sound is appearing at the downstroke of your right crank.
Further, check the belt-line, and check wheel alignment in the dropouts, it needs to be straight. Obviously check for any damage to belt, “chain”ring and sprocket.
