I've been getting into cycling lately but have just been using an old long haul trucker that's too big, and have been looking to upgrade to something that fits better and is a little lighter. Buyer wants $700 for this, I think it's a CAAD7? Wondering what your thoughts are on the price and the bike.

That is collector and Campagnolo pricing. It is not even one of the desirable cherry red Saeco CAAD bikes. The way this bike is set up it looks like it was too big for the last owner. Between the seat height and the stubby stem they would have been better sizing down.
Not the bike I would buy to continue road cycling journey. This is a neat vintage piece but likely not for you.
