This summer we cycled from Land’s End to John o’ Groats (LEJOG). Following a slightly longer-than-usual route covering over 1,067 miles and 14 days end to end.

This is something I really want to do but I'm currently working in Saudi Arabia for about another year.
I'm flying to Sardinia in 4 days time to cycle around the complete coastline with a friend but that is actually to see how I fair with camping as all my previous trips have been in hotels or Airbnb's.
Next year, in March I'm looking at doing the Italian version of LEJOG if the camping works out.
I'm interested in watching this as your mileage and time scale is very similar. How did the body hold up over the challenge? Apologies if this gets answered in the video as I'm commenting as I watch it!

Great video , That fing! cycle path on the Inverness bridge was closed when I did it in 2021 , Then I was told there is a path on the other side of the bridge .

I noticed you have the DHB aeron waterproof jacket. I’m looking for a light weight jacket for the trip myself, and this is one I am considering. The specs are amazing on paper, but I can find almost no reviews online for it. What is your experience? Is it FULLY waterproof?
