Do you have any close ups or photos of the construction process?
I’m in the middle of making a very similar bike myself. Having to replace the entire head tube though.
Like you I intend to use square section tubing to compensate for lack of flat work surfaces and fixtures.
I wanted to use a reasonable grade of tube, ideally T45 or 4130, but the latter is not especially easy to come by here in the UK, so may just settle for mild steel
