I fueled pretty religiously throughout the day. I think I had 4 waffles, 4 gels, and a banana. Plus one bottle had water, and the other had a sugar + salt + lemon juice mix. I intentionally tried to stay in zone 2 heart rate for the first ~65ish miles before it started creeping up.
Ultimately I could have gone faster, I never felt too tired. Just think I need to get a different saddle… oof.
I will be doing this again.

Way to go! Fueling, not overexerting, and having a good time is the absolute way for your first century ride. Excellent effort and if you haven’t invested in some good bib shorts and chamois cream, that’ll also help in addition to the new saddle you’re after. AMAZING.
Florida?
Well done! That is not easy to do. Congratz. 👏👍
Congratulations! Nobody gives you a Century, you have to earn it!
