Having a tough time with jumps. Sometimes I’m fine but more often than not I’m dead sailoring. Managed to capture on film today. Can anybody tell me where I’ve gone wrong? I feel like I’m compressing hard in to the jump but I always feel like my front is being bucked to the side, causing me to go to the side!

More speed
Honestly looked like you were popping up for a sweet manual 😂
Would you bunny hop in that motion? It was more of a manual pull which when you go off a jump will dead sailor you.
You need to push with your feet like you would a bunny hop on flat ground. To time it right off the jump start the “bunny-hop” in the transition and try to be in the pulling up part of the bunny hop while your back tire is leaving the jump.
Good luck!
SPEED
More speed and timing, and looseness helps prevent dead sailoring, I like to lean the bike a little or twist the bars to keep me loose.
I think I you’re compressing a little early, extending early then sorta absorbing the jump.

In this screenshot you can kinda see how you’re tucked down to the bike
At that speed, instead of pulling up to jump, you should point the nose to roll over it.
I think you’re leaning back more than you should so it’s making you manual more than anything. Try popping straight up more.
I taught myself to jump just by screwing around with my bike and the sidewalk. Your goal is to get off the sidewalk and on to the street with your bike’s horizontal axis level with the ground or landing on your rear wheel first.
Can’t really tell anything at the speed you are going, you need to slowly ramp it up. you goal should be at least 3-4 X faster
Speed, and loosen up
