I finally went for it and got myself a titanium gravel race bike. After lots of research, I went for the Simpatico Gamma, a small brand out of Melbourne, Australia. I believe I'm the first person in the USA to own this bike, and it arrived the week before Unbound, with just enough time to test-ride, get a bike fit, and feel comfortable on it.

With 2.4 inches of tire clearance with room for mud, I ran the Enve G-SES 6.7 wheels for the Unbound 200 amateur race. The Schwalbe 2.25 Racing Ricks measure 61mm on these rims, but I switched at the last minute due to the mud to the 50mm Conti Dub Natals (which measure 54mm on these rims).

The bike was flawless, but sadly, I crashed during the race after someone else went down in front of me. I'm looking forward to more races on this beast! (and not having to run the aero bars because they don't look good haha!) My Unbound 200 recap is here.

Total spec:

Simpatico Gamma – Size 56 Black Cherry Red with color-matched fork, stem, cages, and collar.
Enve G-SES 6.7 Wheels with Conti 50mm Dubnatal
SRAM 48t aero front chainring with Red cranks and power meter
SRAM Red groupset with SS XL Transmission 10-52 cassette
Ascent Aeroo gravel bars
Profile Design D2Z aero bars (only for this race)

Such a sick bike. Always despised aero bars on gravel bikes though

Spent a week on a TI bike and the ride feel is immaculate

  6. Beautiful machine. How much time to you really spend in tt position though on a gravel bike?

Melbourne Australia, cool that’s an Aussie based brand, not seen them before. Love to have a closer look. Think I need to search for their website
