Escape the crowds and explore one of Spain’s most peaceful coastal rides! Starting in the tranquil village of Agua Amarga, I take on a scenic 30km loop through the rugged beauty of Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. From ancient olive trees and arid desert climbs to the breezy Carboneras beachfront, this ride has it all. I even pass by a pirate-era fortress—but thanks to a surprise nationwide power cut, lunch plans didn’t go quite as expected! Watch the full adventure as I pedal through whitewashed villages, wild landscapes, and sun-soaked coastal roads on two wheels.

  1. You travel to such beautiful places to bike. This seems like a really peaceful, wholesome hobby. Plus, it's really healthy. I hope that you enjoy your time in Spain.

  2. A few suggestions:

    1. Wear cycling gloves. At some point, you will crash, and your instinct will be to put your hands out. You will shred your hands if you're not wearing gloves & going fast.

    2. Wear sunglasses. Not only do they protect you from harmful UV rays, but also bugs. Getting hit in the eye by a fly or bee is painful!

    3. Relax your elbows. You may need a shorter stem, but you should never ride with your elbows locked out. You want some bend to absorb any unexpected bumps. If your arms are straight, you are more likely to crash.

  3. I am so happy to see someone sensible enough to wear light colored clothes, shoes, and helmet in the midday sun. All the (Brit) YouTube cycling channel riders wear black everything in freaking Death Valley in July and wonder why they nearly die.

  4. Just discovered your travel page and now I’m hooked ( admittedly I was more familiar with your other pages 🙂🙂)….massive congratulations on this. You truly deserve everything you have now

  5. I appreciate your video 😁. I just sold my Bicycle shop in Biloxi Mississippi and am looking to explore the globe showcasing cycling culture and the lifestyle we love . Your inspirational and your route looks amazing. I will try it for myself, thank you !

  6. Nijar up to Mojarca, is a nice ride, then from Mojarca up to Aguilas and onto Mazarron is a lovely coast line to ride. Going inland from Aguilas up to Campo Lopez in the mountains is worth the view. If you need a guide let me know.
