Welcome to DoKomi 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany – one of the largest anime, manga, cosplay, gaming, and Japanese culture conventions in Europe! Every year, DoKomi brings together hundreds of thousands of fans from around the world to celebrate their shared passion for Japanese pop culture, creativity, and entertainment.
In this video, I take you on a walking tour through DoKomi 2026, covering Halls 1, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11 of the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition center.
DoKomi continues to grow year after year, attracting an international audience of anime fans, cosplayers, artists, content creators, and industry guests. The convention features a massive Artist Alley, one of the largest in Europe, where talented creators showcase and sell original illustrations, crafts, prints, and handmade products. Visitors can also enjoy concerts, stage performances, workshops, cosplay competitions, VTuber events, gaming activities, and appearances by special guests from Japan and around the world. Following a record-breaking 215,000 visitors in 2025, DoKomi continues to grow as one of the most important gatherings for anime and Japanese pop culture fans worldwide. The convention floor is a vibrant spectacle filled with detailed cosplay costumes, colorful displays and exclusive merchandise.
Düsseldorf is home to one of Germany’s most famous Japanese communities. The nearby Little Tokyo district along Immermannstraße offers authentic Japanese restaurants, cafés, bakeries, bookstores, and supermarkets, making it a popular destination for convention visitors throughout the weekend.

Welcher Tag warst du eigentlich dort?
Ich war da am Freitag so gegen 14Uhr, hatten was verspätung…
Die Hitze war echt heftig dort, zum glück gabs ein paar Bereiche die was kühler warn, bei CCD Area da hatte ich son Kampfspiel gespielt das ich nicht kannte, sah echt nice aus, aber konnte den name nicht erkennen. Immerhin 2 zu 1 Gewonnen, glaub der hat mich eh gewinnen lassen.
Naja, weil´s schon was ungewohnt und anstrengend war, ganze anstehen, die Hitze und Co. War mein Persönliches Highlight dann doch eher nach der Dokomi, in Klein Tokio bei Okinii Sushi & Grill unmengen an leckeren Sushi gegessen, boah war ich danach Satt, so viel Sushi hab ich lang nicht gegessen, super lecker. Hab bei der Dokomi nix gekauft, bin super resistent gegen Merch und Co.🧐😏
Warn sogar bei der Seijin Area(mussten viel zu lang anstehen fürs Bändchen), aber aufgrund der Hitze war da auch nix für mich, immerhin ma son Yuzu Sake probiert und son Raven Cosplay sah auch nicht verkehrt aus, die hat da gerade son typ gefesselt *professionell*gefesselt und diese Technik interessierten beigebracht😏
Naja, so große Menschenmengen sind eh nix für mich, aber habs dennoch durchgehallten.
